PSI provides all operation and maintenance services for the wastewater treatment plant. Influent includes domestic wastewater and non-domestic discharges from aircraft maintenance shops and industrial activity adjacent to the airfield, parking ramps and apron. The wastewater treatment plant includes three Sequencing Batch Reactors (SBR) with a total capacity of 1.5 million gallons per day (MGD), one aerobic digester, one chlorine contact chamber, two Screw Pumps, 10 flow meters, grit and sludge drying beds, one Grit and Grease Unit, one Auger Monster®, one Huber Grit and Grease Unit, one Raw Wastewater Storage Basin with pump, one Effluent Storage Basin with three pumps, one AquaDisk® Filter Unit with cloth media, six aeration blowers, six chemical pumps, ten programmable logic controllers and one Solar Bee. The plant is operated 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Operations include general operation of plant equipment, valves and piping, sampling and lab analysis, waste and effluent disposal, and other related services.
